DESIGN ACROSS CULTURE

May 1, 2017

"It is your differences that make you glorious." - Neil Gaiman

We are inspired by how various people groups and cultures over the centuries, have adapted and DESIGNED their lives around their surroundings. For example; Aborigines created the boomerang to catch their food, Maoris created the Hangi method to prepare food and Sami people designed their clothing from reindeer skin to keep warm in the extreme temperatures of the Arctic. Factors such as climate and landscape determine what kind of designs are needed for clothing, shelter, food preparation and other elements of living. As a design agency we wanted to acknowledge and celebrate the "designers of the ages" and all their unique ways of adapting to life on their spot of the globe.

Enjoy this diverse visual collection of various people groups from all over the world.
